The Bad Boys producer stated that they might want to consider other actors and actresses but without Will Smith in the role of Mike Lowrey, there will not be a sequel. There may also be legal issues with this because they don’t have the right to use any images or anything from the original film without permission from Paramount which is owned by Viacom.

The audience rated it at 4.1/10 which is a big slap for both the actors and the makers of the movie. Critics gave it 3.5/5 stars due to its good action and performances by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence but ultimately it got a rating of 26% on Rotten Tomatoes which is quite low for any movie.
