Shazam! Fury of the Gods is an upcoming superhero film directed by David Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden, Darren Lemke, and Chris Sablan. This is the second part of the DC Extended Universe. The film follows Billy Batson (Levi), a boy who can transform into an adult superhero known as Shazam when he says the name of an ancient wizard named Shazam, who resides in a city called “Thunder” with his foster parents Mary (Andrea Brooks) and Freddy Freeman (Grazer).
When Billy’s foster parents are murdered by Black Adam (Mark Strong), a villain from the DC Comics Universe, their daughter Teena (Aliyah Rae) is kidnapped by Black Adam while they attempt to stop him from escaping.

The first trailer for Shazam 2 is dropped at Comic-Con 2022. The trailer shows Billy Batson (Levi) using his growing powers to write a book report for school, as well as get a job at a grocery store. The trailer also showcases Dr. Sivana (Strong), an antagonist from the comics, who assembles six artifacts that he believes will grant him immense power. The first poster for the film was released in February 2022.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods movie is scheduled to be released on 17 March 2023 in the United States. The movie was the first DC Extended Universe film to use the DC Studios name. It was originally set for release on 1 April 2022, but it was delayed to 2023, due to covid-19 pandemic.

Shazam is a superhero and the alter-ego of the magically powered Billy Batson, who can transform via his magic word: “Shazam!”, saying this word Shazam changes into a costumed adult with the powers of superhuman strength, speed, and other abilities in his body, in the DC Comics universe. This superhero Shazam is Created by artist C. C. Beck and writer Bill Parker.
The Shazam movie was proposed by Warner Bros. in late 2018 for some time in 2021. It was confirmed that Dwayne Johnson would be the film’s main antagonist Black Adam, who will also have his spin-off movie after Shazam. Asher Angel will play Billy Batson while Zachary Levi will play the titular hero Shazam. Dr. Thaddeus Sivana is also confirmed to return to the film as the film’s main antagonist with Mark Strong reprising his role as Dr.

Now the film is taking place in Philly and Billy Batson (Levi) is a 14-year-old boy who loses his parents as they got killed by Black Adam (Mark Strong). During that time Billy was trying to stop Black Adam and save his little sister but he fails at it resulting in her abduction by Black Adam.
