The adaptation of the video game Borderlands finish his Shooting and is now in post production. It is a science fiction action comedy, which is Directed & Co-writer by Eli Roth with Writer Craig Mazin.
Mazin said “When we first started talking to Gearbox Software, they weren’t sure they wanted to do a Borderlands movie because there’s no good ending to the game.” Mazin discussed various ideas with Roth before settling on making three possible endings for the film.
After Borderlands 2 was released, 2K Games and Gearbox Software announced their intention to adapt the popular video game franchise into film. Writer/director Eli Roth first began developing a pitch for Borderlands in 2009. Roth has stated that he is a fan of the Borderlands videogames and had written sample scripts for adaptations of Borderlands 2 and its predecessor, “Borderlands.”
Roth hoped to direct at least one of the films produced by 2K Games and Gearbox Software, as well as possibly produce one himself.
Plot :-
On the planet Pandora, a young woman named Lilith is using a “Speaker for the Dead,” an artefact that acts as a portal between the living and the dead, to communicate with her father. Meanwhile, five ex-soldiers from planet Pandora are being hunted down by an alien bounty hunter named Krieg.
After shooting one of their own in order to break their trail and lose him, Brick, Mordecai, Lilith and Roland are captured by one of Krieg’s henchmen. The bounty hunter soon arrives with his own gang and takes the five prisoners to Atlas’ vault in order to release them or face death.
The vault’s defence systems are activated and the henchmen are killed. After dealing with a possessed scientist and saving Lilith from being killed by him, the group decides to escape from Atlas’ vault by using the stolen Speakers to travel between the living and the dead.
After using a speed boost provided by “The Runner” for an extended period of time, Roland is forced to sit down due to his damaged leg. Later, Roland’s leg is fixed after Brick uses his Hyperion repair bay on him.

Borderlands is a video game series developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, that is inspired by the first person shooter (FPS) genre, character action role-playing (ARPG) games and multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBA). The series focuses on the adventures of Roland “Torgue”

“Borderlands” is the first movie produced by 2K Games and Gearbox Software to be released as a feature film. Eli Roth, who also plays one of the main characters in the film. Roth discussed with his cousin, Craig Mazin, a possible plot regarding four characters that he hoped to make into a film before one was chosen for development. However, the two were unable to come up with a satisfactory script for the project. “We threw so many different ideas out there,” Mazin said in an interview; “And it’s hard because ‘Borderlands’ is such a fragmented game.

The release date has not been announced yet . The movie has now started its post production. Soon the trailer dropped. We all hope that the movie will be as interesting as the game.
