Southeast Asia is tropical paradise housing most of the world’s fine white sands. What better way to spend a vacation than by immersing yourself in the beach life that Asia has to offer? The possibilities are endless, from majestic sunsets to watersports such as parasailing, scuba diving, or just plain loitering around the beach. 

There is a long list of amazing beaches situated in Asia. Some are even considered hidden games for one to discover and enjoy. El Nido, Palawan – Philippines

Located in the northernmost part of mainland Palawa, El Nido is considered the largest marine sanctuary of the Philippines. Dubbed as the country’s “Last Frontier,” El Nido is a protected natural area that boasts of jagged limestone cliffs, thick mangrove forests, hidden lagoons, prehistoric caves, and thriving wildlife. Its powdery white beaches stretch over the open coastline of Bacuit Bay. 

During these modern times, it is a tropical paradise that remains untouched and undeveloped. As a plus, you can easily tick this off on your travel bucket list as having the opportunity to gaze upon one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Pantai Merah – Indonesia

If you want an experience apart from white sand beaches, try the Pantai Merah in Indonesia. Also known as the Pink Beach, Pantai Merah is one of the only seven beaches worldwide that showcases pink sands. It is also near the Komodo National Park, where the great Komodo Dragon can be found. Lastly, as a bonus, Pantai Merah highlights the most scenic underwater life full of colorful corals, an assortment of tropical fish, and manta rays. A haven for beginning and expert divers.

Ishigaki – Japan

One of the best diving places in Okinawa, Ishigaki is also considered one of Japan’s hidden treasures for tropical island destinations. Japanese history and culture radiate from this resort getaway, which lets you experience an abundance of natural sights to see and explore.  

If diving is your thing, then try the spectacular underwater monoliths. If you are looking for something a bit more extreme, consider viewing a swarm of hammerheads. Surely it’s something to tick off your adventure bucket list.  

Similan Islands – Thailand

Similan islands boast its sugary white sand beaches, colorful reefs filled with tropical fish, sea turtles, and manta rays, not to mention towering boulders that dig deep under turquoise waters. It has always been listed as one of the best beaches in Asia. However, due to massive tourism, beach operations have been shut down from 2016 to 2018 to help the ecosystem recover. Currently, the Thai government has imposed several policies that safeguard the beach from would-be tourists. It is important to plan to travel and experience this superb beach location.

White Beach, Boracay – Philippines

Boracay Island’s White Beach stretches at only four kilometers long. However, it is a popular beach destination for both locals and foreigners. The beach offers a wide array of water activities to experience and enjoy. Its deep, glassy, smooth blue waters are perfect for scuba diving and swimming. Also, plenty of resorts and restaurants line the beach for general partying or for simply having a refreshing cocktail while relaxing in dedicated beach beds for that ultimate summer getaway.
