Alten Carbon is based on the 2002 novel of the same name.

Cancellation Updates:

It was first cancelled after season one because it did not have strong enough viewership to justify its production cost. However, Altered Carbon has been renewed for a third and final season which will be released in 2020. It might then return as an animated series or maybe even live-action too since there are still many plot twists that need to unfold before this show can end properly. The new episodes will comprise of ten 45 minute episodes with eight more months left until they air again next year.

Despite being deemed nonessential by Netflix, Altered Carbon fans want more content from this show so badly that they started a change petition to help get Altered Carbon back on the streaming service. The petition was created on December 18, 2018, with a goal of 75k signatures and it has so far amassed over 79K supporters all across the world who want more Altered Carbon content to be made available for streaming.

Season 1:

The show’s first season ended in February 2018 and left many fans interested enough to watch the sequel which is scheduled to air next year at some point in 2020 or 2021 as an official decision hasn’t been reached yet about when that will happen just yet. One thing is certain though: Altered Carbon isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, despite what Netflix thinks!

Altered Carbon is back!

“Altered Carbon is back!” exclaims every fan of this sci-fi TV series since they found out that it’s not cancelled and that the third season is coming soon.

These Altered Carbon fanatics are very passionate about their show, to say the least! They even started a petition on Change.org for Netflix to reconsider its decision of cancelling Altered Carbon after only two seasons back in May 2019 when they announced this fact.
