One Punch Man Season 2 Netflix Review, Cast, Rating and Details

Netflixs One Punch Man Season 2

I was a huge fan of the first season of One Punch Man and I couldn’t wait for Season 2 to come out. Fortunately, it came out on Netflix in April 2019 and I binge-watched the whole thing in one sitting! In this article, we will discuss my thoughts on Season 2, including what I liked about it and what could have been improved.

My thoughts on the season:

Some of the things I liked about Season Two were that it was a little longer than the first season, including 12 episodes. It also had some really funny moments and great action scenes! The fight between Saitama and Boros in Episode 11 is one of my favorites from either season because they did an excellent job showing how powerful these two characters are compared to everyone else.

What could have been improved on?

That’s hard for me to say without giving away too many plot details but as long as you know what happened in Season One, then there isn’t much missing information or speculation since this show likes to keep things vague with its mysteries (which can be good if you’re into that). There are a few questions left unanswered, but I felt satisfied with the ending and didn’t feel like there were any loose ends.

Ratings:

Story- A

Presentation- B+ (I love how simple it is)

Characters- C+ (It’s hard to make a distinction since they’re all so one dimensional)

Soundtrack/Voice Acting -B* (really enjoyed some of their voice actors!)

Animation Style -A+++(The fight scenes are always better animated than anything else on this show because that’s what matters most to them) *Personal Opinion! Don’t take this as fact :)*]

cast and their performance:

Saitama- A+ (It’s always good to have an overpowered character, but I think he overdid it this time)

Genos- B+ (I enjoyed his interactions with Saitama and how he was trying to live up to him because of all that happened in the first season)

Lord Boros -A+++(My Favorite Villain from One Punch Man Season Two!)

Garou- C++(He wasn’t as interesting as Lord Boros or Garou from Season one. He never felt like a real threat which is what made me bored at times) *Personal Opinion! Don’t take this as fact :)*]

about the season:

It’s been more than two years since we last saw Saitama go full power in his final battle against Boros and because of this long wait for new material to be released from season two Netflix has left us very excited! In fact, many people who watched the first season are convinced that it was canceled due to low ratings which is what leads them to believe there would never be a second season. The hype started back up when we heard reports about new episodes being produced not too long ago which had us wondering what to expect from the new season.

I can honestly say that I wasn’t as excited for this season because it’s been so long since we last saw Saitama go all out in his final battle against Boros and because of this long wait, Netflix has left us very excited! In fact, many people who watched the first season are convinced that it was canceled due to low ratings which is what led them to believe there would never be a second season but reports about new episodes being produced not too long ago had us wondering what to expect from the next seasons.

This time around, Lord Boros isn’t just a threat anymore- he’s an actual enemy and if you thought Season one was intense with Garou and the Dark Matter Thieves, you won’t know what’s coming for you with Lord Boros. But that’s not all we also get to see other monsters in action such as The Hero Association and a new villain named Overlord who is stronger than any of them combined.

The animation was smoother this time around (more so during fighting sequences) but it felt like some scenes were cut out which made me feel unfulfilled because I wanted more– especially when they had characters set up for an epic showdown only for its end before anything could happen.

Overall, One Punch Man Season Two has been far better than its predecessor but there are still faults here and there. If you’re asking me if this show deserves another season… well, I’m not sure but it’s worth giving a shot.
