Lost in Space Season 3

Netflix’s Lost in Space has been cancelled or renewed for season two? Well, we’ve got all the latest updates on what’s going on with this sci-fi series. Keep reading to find out if they’re coming back for more episodes!

About the show:

The Lost in Space TV show is a reimagining of the classic 1960s sci-fi series. The story follows the Robinson family as they’re stranded light-years from their intended destination and forced to come together to survive on an unknown planet, all while trying to get back home. Now that Netflix has cancelled it after only one season, there’s no word yet if another network will pick up where Netflix left off or if we’ll ever see more Lost in Space episodes again.

Netflix released ten episodes for Season One (2018) of Lost in Space which streamed live globally on Friday, April 13th 2018 with both English subtitles available via select international markets including Australia and New Zealand. It also had some availability with Spanish dubbing in Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Based on a Book:

The TV series is based on the 1965 science fiction book of the same name by American author Lottie Ivins (1906-1998), who also served as a writer for Lost in Space’s original 1960s television incarnation. It was created with Irwin Allen back in 1963 when he first pitched it to 20th Century Fox Television as an exploration into new worlds much like his earlier show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. He said, “I think this would be fun”.

This time around though they wanted something more grounded – or at least less fantastical than some other examples we’ve seen from Netflix – so that means no space monsters or robots as well since not all their content needs such high.
