Netflixs V Wars Season 2

V-Wars is a Netflix original series based on the novel of the same name. The show follows Dr. Luther Swann (played by Ian Somerhalder) as he tries to stop an outbreak of infection that transforms humans into vampires. The first season was released in 2019 and had received mixed reviews from critics so far. It seems like it will be cancelled after one season but Netflix has yet to confirm this decision either way which has left many fans apprehensive about what might happen next for their favourite vampire TV show.

Fans’ Reactions:

The second season was scheduled to come out in 2020 but no specific date has been announced yet.

Fans are very split on whether the show should be cancelled or renewed. Some say that season one ended in a really good place and it would make more sense to leave V-Wars as is while others think Netflix might have cancelled the show due to its ratings which were not great at all.

Much of this comes down to whether you’re someone who likes shows with gore, violence, blood and death scenes – those tend to get better reviews than action-packed dramas like V Wars Season One’s first episode (where we watch Dr Luther Swann getting attacked by vampires) but only if they are done well enough so audiences can suspend their disbelief long enough for an entertaining storyline.

Netflix’s V Wars Season 2 Cancelled or Renewed?

There’s no way of knowing what Netflix will do with V Wars Season two due to their quiet stance on the matter. The original actor, Ian Somerhalder, had this to say of what they’re currently working on:

“I know that we’re doing more filming and I have a feeling it will be released at some point”. His ambiguous comment is likely because there’s been no announcement from Netflix about cancellation or renewal for the show.

Meanwhile, fans are waiting eagerly for any word of news to keep hope alive. There has yet to be any official confirmation either way so you’ll just need to wait until the day comes!

What can we expect from V Wars Season 2?

Judging by what Ian Somerhalder revealed in his interview with Entertainment Weekly about new developments for season three of Vampire Diaries; it seems like they’re going into a darker direction that centres around Elena Gilbert’s (Nina Dobrev) life after she’s turned into a vampire as well as other vampires’ reactions to having an Original among them. For those who are unfamiliar, this means that one who has never been transformed or turned into another type of creature.”

Official Announcements:

V Wars Season two was announced to be in production back at the end of July 2019 with Ian Somerhalder, who played Dr Sebastian Blood on Vampire Diaries, taking over as its lead actor. – The cast includes James Frain (The Tudors), Nesta Cooper (Sense and Sensibility) and Caitlin Stasey (Reign).

Two seasons will follow a group of scientists trying to find a cure for vampirism before vampires take over the world. And it seems like they’re not alone! In episode one we see flashbacks revealing that werewolves have been assisting them from behind the scenes all along!

Season 2:

Season two is currently scheduled to air in 2020, but there’s no set date yet. We think it’ll come out around August or September.

According to research data from IMDb, V Wars has a 100% rating among critics so far. With an average score of 76/100 based on 12 reviews (as we write this). Based on our calculations, that means it’s confirmed for renewal at this point by Fandango and other sources. But don’t get too excited just yet because these ratings could change drastically before release time! So stay tuned…

The Plot:

Set within the same universe as the V Wars comic series; this show follows a group of humans who have been taken over by vampires. In an alternate reality where only 50% of the population has survived.
