Knightfall Season 3

Netflix’s hit series Knightfall has been making headlines for the past few weeks. Will there be a third season? What is happening with the cast of this medieval drama? Where can you watch it from other streaming services? There are many questions that have yet to be answered, but we will do our best to give you all the information that is currently available. In this post, we will answer some of your most pressing questions and provide updates on what is going on with Netflix’s popular show.

What is Knightfall?

Knightfall is a TV show on Netflix, which tells the story of an elite group of knights. The series first aired in December 2017 and recently released its second season to the public. Based on true events, it takes place during medieval times where violence was commonplace and people were constantly at risk for death from various causes including illness or injury. Knights are sworn to protect those less fortunate than themselves while still adhering to strict codes of honour that often clash with one another – making them complex characters who can easily become villains too if they stray too far off course.

Season 1:

In Season One, we watch these men struggle against cruelty within their ranks as well as outside forces such as King Philip’s son, Prince John of France, who has his own selfish interests to pursue.

Season 2:

In Season Two, the story continues with William Marshal (played by Tom Cullen) as he gets involved in court intrigue and becomes a trusted advisor for King Henry II – although not without its trials and tribulations along the way.

Many episodes are based on historical events such as: The Battle of Lincoln which was an actual battle that took place near Newcastle-under-Lyme between forces loyal to King Richard I vs those allied with Philip Augustus; or when Marshal became one of England’s most powerful men during years 1216–1219 due to his skillful management of John Lackland’s affairs after becoming king following Henry III’s death while quelling uprisings from the Welsh and Scottish.

Historical figures such as King John, Eleanor of Aquitaine, William Marshal’s wife Isabel de Clare (played by Claire Foy), Queen Maud (aka Matilda) and Princess Alais will also be featured in Season Two.

Season 3:

After a long separation from his family; due to the civil war raging through England; during this turbulent period; known as The Anarchy, Knight-Marshal William. Now enlists all those loyal to him for one last battle; that would prove decisive – defeating Prince Louis’s forces at Lincoln Castle. With victory secured against great odds once again, he was able to set out with his army on an epic march northwards into Scotland where they were met by fierce resistance on many fronts.

Season Three is expected to return in 2019; with ten episodes. And will possibly be released as a Netflix original film or streaming series, rather than being renewed for another season. The cast from Season One has been confirmed once again to star. And it’s yet unclear if the showrunners have decided; not to proceed with Knightfall’s third season or are just late into making their final decision about its future prospects.

The series is produced by Stephen Knight; and stars Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey) as Landry Blagotorny; who plays the role of Jean de Breze: knight-errant turned Templar Knight Commander.

All ten episodes will air on Sundays at 11 pm ET/PT starting April 28th onwards. If you are not familiar with the story so far. It revolves around nobleman landowner Hugh D’Andelot who sets off on a quest to reclaim the Holy Land in 1250.

Rumours of the show being cancelled:

Rumours of Knightfall Season Three getting cancelled came; when rumours began circulating that real-life events had overtaken history in this medieval tale set during England’s Anarchy. It was said that producers had to rewrite scripts; because they were in danger of spoiling the end of Season Two, which is currently airing.

Knightfall Season Four: Will it be Renewed?

Rumours are circulating that Knightfall might get renewed; for the fourth season. Considering how successful the show has been and its popularity with viewers. However, there has been no official announcement by Netflix; about next year’s plans yet so we will have to wait and see what happens when 2020 arrives!
