Babylon Berlin Season 4

The Babylon Berlin series is a German television drama set in the 1920s and 1930s. It has been one of the most successful TV dramas in Europe, with its first season attracting more than five million viewers per episode. Season 4 will be released on Netflix before 2020! The director gave some insight into what we can expect from the upcoming season and cast members were also interviewed about their thoughts on how they feel about this new chapter for Babylon Berlin.

Release Date:

Babylon Berlin Season Four will be available on Netflix in 2019. The release date for the new season is still not confirmed but we do know that it will come before 2020!

There are going to be six episodes in total and they have been written by Hans Rosenfeldt, who has also worked on the original series as well as most of its spinoffs including Babylon Berlin: Cold Cases which was released last year.

Main Characters:

One of the main characters from Season Three, Gereon Rath (played by Volker Bruch), disappeared at the end of last season due to his poor health so this time around there won’t be any character points of view because he’s no longer with us.

We can expect a lot of new faces in Season Four and there will also be a lot more action as it’s set to take place during the German Autumn Crisis. The public was demanding that anything was better than President von Hindenburg, who would have been nothing but a puppet for Hitler if he had taken power, which made him an unpopular leader.

About season 4:

The Babylon Berlin series has always been known; for its realism and dedication to historical accuracy within a fictional framework – “Berlin Alexanderplatz

” is an excellent example of this. This will not change in Season Four, so it’ll be as you would expect for the time period.

Many viewers have been waiting to see; what’s next after Gereon Rath’s disappearance. At the end of last season, and I can’t wait until we get some answers!

The Cast of Babylon Berlin Season 4:

Joachim Król will return as the shady lawyer Jördens. He has a penchant for giving his clients bad advice and getting them into trouble. He is one of the few lawyers in Berlin; that can still hold an audience during this time of upheaval. So he isn’t feeling much pressure to help Gereon Rath; find peace with himself about where he stands on both sides of justice.

Franziska Kowalski (played by Pheline Roggan) is back too! She’s been promoted from her position; at the police station. Where she was previously working as Detective First Class to Deputy Commissioner; which sounds like it’ll come with many more responsibilities than just solving murders!

Lastly, we come to Moritz Eisner (played by Volker Bruch), who has undergone a complete transformation from Season One. He’s now on the other side of justice, working as Chief Inspector and is obsessed with Nazism.

It sounds like even more characters will be coming in Babylon Berlin season four! We’ll just have to wait for when it premieres this year to find out which ones they are!

Director pours light on future updates:

Joachim Trier, who directed the third and fourth season of Babylon Berlin will return for a fifth instalment. “I’m very happy to say that I have agreed with Netflix on continuing Babylon Berlin,” said director Tom Tykwer in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel.

This is good news; as it means fans can look forward to another gripping crime drama series set in 1930s Germany. But what’s coming up?

When asked about the plot this time around; Tykwer was cryptic. Although he did reveal some new information; about his cast: “We want to show more characters from the Nazi period.” He also alluded; Season Four would be darker than previous seasons due to Nazism pervading society at large.
