Even though Northern Rescue season one was released on March 23rd of this year – the date unknown when Northern rescue might come back on TV again.

Cast:

The show stars Eric Balfour as John Westman, an ER doctor in Alaska who is faced with a life-changing decision when he learns that his family has been killed. John’s daughter Abby (played by Alycia Debnam-Carey) survived the car crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. After her surgery, she ends up experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, so medic Dan Anderson comes back from Afghanistan to care for her while John continues working at the ER. The other main cast members are played by Adrian Holmes, Michelle Nolden, and Scott Grimes; they all portray different characters living in the Northern Rescue town of Cicely!

Season two will see new faces such as Erica Cerra joining Northern Rescue season one cast members like Richard Harmon, Geoff Gustafson and Amy Price-Francis.

Northern Rescue Season two is now in production. Northern Rescue season one was renewed for a second and third season on Netflix. The first six episodes of the show will be released on Friday, April 11th 2019!

Season 1:

In Northern Rescue Season one, John Kennex (played by James Wolk) returns to his home town after he learns that his family has met an accident. After taking care of business at the local police department, he goes back to work as a paramedic with Dan Anderson (played by Adrian Holmes). However, when John gets called out to rescue someone from a car crash while Abby remains behind at the hospital recovering from surgery; it’s revealed that she suffers post-traumatic stress disorder because her mom just died.

Season 2:

The Northern Rescue Season two renewal is no surprise because the first season received a good response from Netflix viewers. The show has also been praised for its portrayal of mental health and strong female characters. This time around, John gets to work with his old friend Jen Christensen who just happens to be Abby’s sister! Together they will take on challenging rescues in their small town while figuring out how to balance both personal and professional lives.

Release Date: Northern Rescue Season two is set to air on Netflix sometime in 2020.

Plot Details:

I can’t wait to see what season two is going bring us! I’m excited not only because it looks so much fun but also because the storyline sounds fabulous. It seems that this season might contain some focus on post-traumatic stress disorder which could make an interesting perspective considering how many people suffer from it.

Conclusion:

The show has been praised for its portrayal of mental health and strong female characters. This time around, John gets to work with his old friend Jen Christensen who just happens to be Abby’s sister! Together they will take on challenging rescues; in their small town while figuring out how to balance both; personal and professional lives.

This season is going to take place four months after the first one ended. Where Abby (played by Mireille Enos) has died of a heart attack during surgery while saving her own life. That’s what I love about this show; they don’t shy away from death because we all know it happens but sometimes we just need some levity too.

The new characters are introduced slowly. As well so you get familiar with them before anything big comes up; which is a nice touch. And makes sense; since there are quite a few people who work at the station now compared to when John was alone.
