Bodyguard Season 2

Netflix’s hit TV show “Bodyguard” is coming back for a second season! The creators of the series are still in the process of writing and preparing for Season 2, but it’s expected to come out soon. If you’re looking forward to Netflix’s Bodyguard Season 2 release date, cast, plot and official statements, then keep reading.

Season 1:

The first season is only six episodes long, but it has already been renewed for Season Two. No word yet on when Netflix expects to premiere the second season of Bodyguard or how many episodes will be in its next instalment. That said, we know that there are spoilers coming up soon about what’s going to happen this year and if you want to find out how the story unfolds then make sure you keep your eyes open for them!

What can we expect from Bodyguard Season 2?

We also expect that all of the main characters from last year will return, including protagonist David Budd (Richard Madden) as well as Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes), with who he works closely after she hires him as her bodyguard following a terrorist attack at Covent Garden.

The details are still a little fuzzy, but we know that the first season of Bodyguard ended with both Julia Montague and David Budd in some sort of jeopardy. While it seemed like they were about to go into hiding together, things took an abrupt turn when she was assassinated before their eyes by one of her political rivals at the memorial service for those killed at Covent Garden. What happens next is anyone’s guess!

The plot of Bodyguard Season 2:

The plot of Bodyguard Season two is not yet confirmed, but it will be a possibility. The writers are currently working on the script for season one and hope to start filming soon.

One thing we do know about Bodyguards’ sequel is who’s coming back – star Keeley Hawes, along with creator/writer Jed Mercurio and producer Simon Heath who all signed up for a second outing while shooting the first instalment.” It feels so good to be doing Bodyguard, it feels so good to be back and doing something I know is brilliant,” said Hawes. “You get addicted to this world.”

There are possibilities about what could happen next after season one ends – some think the team behind bodyguards want their show to run longer than three seasons like other TV dramas do today; others say it’s too early to tell. Bodyguard Season two could be something like a prequel or sequel. But it’s still up in the air for now. And we’ll have to wait until later this year; when season one officially finishes airing on Netflix before getting more details about what may happen next!

Bodyguard Season Two release date?

No official announcement has been made; about a potential “Bodyguard” (Season two) coming out yet; as of December 2018. So fans will just have to keep waiting while they binge-watch season one over and over again.

But if Hawes’ words are anything to go off; of then ‘We’re working on scripts at present’. She told The Times Magazine,” And Jed Mercurio; who is the show’s creator and writer said, “Season two is something we’re talking about.”

Official statements:

Netflix has already announced; that they have ordered another series from Jed Mercurio with Sharon Small returning as Home Secretary Julia Montague. This means Bodyguard might come out in 2020!

Bodyguard Season two will air on either a date yet confirmed but expected around the year 2020 or later.

Spoiler alert:

Things are going to get worse before they get better! As of now, we know that Julia Montague has lost her position as Home Secretary and she is working with David Budd under protection from orders given by The Cabinet Office. We also still don’t know who betrayed Julia which leaves us guessing if it was Dominic Powers herself, Richard Longcross (who was killed) or another person altogether? As season two comes closer and the series ends, we’ll find out more about who betrayed Julia.
