Who is in Season Two?

The cast of Haunting of Hillhouse, including Michiel Huisman as Steven Crane, Elizabeth Reaser as Shirley Crane, Oliver Jackson Cohen as Luke Murphy and Claire Coffee (Coffee) as Dr Luisa Estes is back for season two!

We will meet new characters played by Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story), Michael Emerson (Lost), Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under) and Madeleine Martin (“Stranger Things”). A twisted retelling of Shirley Jackson’s classic novel, The Haunting of Hill House, this Netflix original series focuses on four siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America – but what secrets does it hold? Created by Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game), Haunting of Hill House explores family trauma as well as twin phobias: hauntings and co-dependence. This season we’ll find out how they came back together 25 years later after ending their last séance with a terrifying bang. And why did one sister come without her husband and daughter?

The series starts with a new family moving into Hill House. We see two of the siblings, Steven and Shirley (Elizabeth) as kids just before they leave home to start making their own lives – but we know that something bad happened in that house because one sister comes back without her daughter or husband. The youngest child, Nellie (Paige), has strange powers which she doesn’t understand and can only use when she’s not scared; so it’s going to be up to Shirley – who never left home for anything other than work – to find out what really went on there all those years ago while protecting herself from whatever wants them. And then there are these visions…
