Locke and Key Season 2 Review:

As a fan of the original show, I was excited to see it this season. The first series had its ups and downs but overall it was pretty good. Some great moments kept me coming back for more, which is why I watched the second season with high hopes. Unfortunately, this time around they failed to deliver on many levels. It’s hard to pinpoint where things went wrong exactly because there are so many problems throughout the entire show rather than just one or two episodes but let’s start by talking about what happened in each episode:

Episode One:

Title and Rating- “The Hour of Death” – C+
This was a pretty good episode. The twist at the end left me excited for next week’s show, which is probably why they did it in the first place. It also had some great moments with Lenny (the family dog) being a natural-born killer.

Episode Two:

Title and Rating-“The Ties That Bind” – C-
This episode gets points for the ending because it was suspenseful but there were also some things I didn’t like about it. The other thing they did that bugged me is how quickly they went from Matt (their dad) being back to him dying again. It’s not like they show any scenes of Matt before he dies, so we don’t know how much time has passed for them when he disappears…

Episode Three:

Title and Rating-“The Keys to the Kingdom” – D+
I’m not sure what’s going on in this episode. There are some spooky moments but they’re all so vague that I just don’t know. It also might have been because it was a rainy day, but there were times when I got bored with
The first problem with this episode is that it’s just not scary. The second thing was how little they showed of the Locke family, which made me feel disconnected from them and also didn’t help make any new emotional connections to anyone else.

Episode Four:

Title and Rating-“Darkness On The Edge Of Town” – C

The fourth episode was a lot better than the third, but still not as good as it could be. It felt like they were building up to something in this one and I enjoyed that because there are some suspenseful moments, which is what I wanted from “Locke & Key”. But again, even though there are more spooky parts than before, nothing ever happens with them-it just feels pointless.

Episode Five:

Title and Rating-“Too Far Gone” – B+ This has been my favorite episode so far for sure! The thing about this show is that when you watch each hour-long episode on its own then it might seem uninteresting or boring at times. But if you binge-watch the whole series, then it becomes a different story. And this episode was awesome to watch because of how much happened in one hour!

In Episode Five we see that Dodge is up to some shady business and Mr. Barlowe isn’t too happy about it-even more so when he finds out what exactly they’re doing with their friendship; I enjoyed watching them argue over the phone then getting interrupted by these weird creatures which were just mimes who wanted to be seen as well; Elle has another break down after her mom tells her she’s going on tour with her dad for six months without coming home before school starts again–which sucks–but thankfully Gabriel is there for support every single time she needs him; and we also find out that the one person who is helping Gabe with his plan to rescue their dad from Dodge’s clutches, Mr. Barlowe, has been watching them–which I found kind of creepy?

Heck yeah! This episode was so good it makes me want to watch more episodes in a row but this isn’t Netflix-you have to wait for my next review or just get up off your bum and go catch every single episode before they are gone (pssst: season two will be over on September 30th). Luckily there are only three left because I NEED MORE SOON PLEASE!!!

Locke and key September 30 release date
cast for the tv series Locke and Key from Marvel TV. The Cast includes – Tom Taylor as Sam Lesser (young), Christopher Lloyd as Mr. Dodge, and Katelyn Maguire as Dodee) he is totes my favorite character in this whole show because she’s so cute! I’m not sure why they haven’t killed her off yet but maybe it’ll happen soon? She might be pretty annoying sometimes but at least there is one likable person on this show lol. Too
