Watching atypical season four might seem like it’s not for you because of its subject matter but in reality, the show understands autism and the seriousness that comes with this topic. It also teaches viewers to accept people who are different from themselves.

The show’s rating is PG 13 and does not contain any violence or strong language. It also has some suggestive dialogue, drug use, nudity/sexual scenes, child abuse, etc.. four is on, you know that it’s getting close to the end. It feels like we’re all counting down the days until atypical Season Five will be released on Netflix.
At first, I was hesitant about watching atypical season four because of how intense and powerful it would have been for me and this made me want to wait a little while before starting. But then I realized: If I can’t watch one show about autism, then what am I doing with my life? So yes, I watched atypical season four but even though there were moments when it felt too much for me, it has honestly helped shape who I am as someone who deals with anxiety and depression every day.
It’s so refreshing to see a TV show that doesn’t shy away from atypical’s difficult subject matter like mental illness, parental abuse, and sexual assault. We knew this was coming after the finale of season three but knowing when we would watch it made it easier to prepare for what was going to happen in atypical season four. After all, I had been waiting since last October so why not wait an extra few days?
I loved seeing how the characters were still dealing with their struggles even though they’re on hiatus while filming another series. It helped legitimize some fears about my future as someone who has autism today because there are always things you have to deal with no matter where you go or what period you’re living in whether ut don’t know what the future holds for me tomorrow.
While atypical season four is a little more serious than past seasons, it was still really enjoyable and I got to see some new characters that we haven’t seen before. Overall, atypical continues to be one of my favorite TV shows out there today and I am so happy they are back.
