This week, we start talking about the second half of Messiah’s life. It is a very different story from what you read in the Gospels: Jesus moves out of Nazareth and lives for some time with his family in Capernaum; he spends much of this time teaching humans how to live together peacefully as brothers and sisters without judging one another or fearing differences so they can love each other more deeply than ever before.

In chapter one, I will share that messiah season two begins at around age 33-34 when Mary felt like she might be pregnant again. This would cause a dilemma because legally Joseph was too old to have children by her according to Jewish law. They decided not to worry about it and wait until they found out what was going on.

In chapter one’s second paragraph I will talk about the story of Mary being pregnant with Jesus’ younger sibling, which is a very different story from his birth as messiah that we read in the Gospels. This part tells us more about how Joseph and Mary coped with their new reality where they would have to raise children instead of just kids coming for a visit or maybe even never having any at all because each time she got pregnant she miscarried again. That said after some days had passed without her period appearing, she began feeling relieved but also worried because according to Jewish law if you are not married then your child is illegitimate and legal punishment is death.

In chapter one’s third paragraph I will write about how Joseph had an idea to put the baby up for adoption without anyone ever knowing that Mary was pregnant with his child but she thought it would be too hurtful not to tell her own son or daughter who they really were so she declined. This situation must have been a hard decision because of Jewish law prohibiting illegitimacy. The only other option Joseph came up with was for them to get married which also meant that he would then become Jesus’ stepfather instead of just being someone in the background like he wanted before this all happened while there are many problems both moral and religious inherent to such a union, Joseph still thought it was the best decision.

The end of Season One has left viewers with many questions about the fate of Jesus Christ. The story picks up just as Pilate is sentencing Jesus to death by crucifixion, and it looks like he’s on his way out for good when a figure steps in front of him. “I am sorry,” says Pontius Pilot (Vincent Guastaferro), who sentences Him to be whipped before He faces execution:

“But you’re a political messiah. You threaten the empire.”

The figure turns out to be none other than Judas Iscariot (Vincent Guastaferro), who has returned from the dead, and he’s got an agenda of his own: He wants Jesus Christ back in His body so that they can continue their work together. Meanwhile, things are not going well for Christianity–the faith is split over whether or not Jesus was God incarnate or just a prophet; many people believe Him to have been nothing more than “a man with good words.”

What will happen when Pilate surrenders control of Judea? Will there finally be peace between Jews and Romans? And how long before someone figures out that this messiah has come back from the dead and is now leading a resistance movement?

It’s time for Messiah Season Two.

Jesus Lives Again: Messiah, season two will be available on August 15th in ebook format! This book series offers an alternate history of what would happen if Jesus Christ came back to life after his crucifixion nearly 2000 years ago.

The second season picks up with Judas’ return from the grave as he tries to convince Pilate not to give into Jewish pressure against Roman rule–but things are about to get complicated when someone else shows up claiming she was sent by God. Who is telling the truth? And how long before other people figure out there’s been a resurrection – and that messiah might not be Jesus Christ?
